Commissioning of Blood Banks.

Our specially trained engineers can certify that your new blood bank is commissioned in accordance with MHRA regulations and will also provide users with expert consultation on how to use their blood bank to ensure vital supplies are kept in safe and secure conditions and best practice is observed.

In order to perform a commissioning, our engineer will require you to do the following before arriving on site:

1.When your new unit is delivered, please check for any damage which may have occurred during transit. Should any damage be found please contact our Customer Support Department immediately, on 0870 300 1002 to report the problem. Delays in reporting transit damage can invalidate insurance claims on carriers.

2.Contact our Service Department to arrange a convenient date for the commissioning engineer to visit.

3.Ensure the blood bank is unpacked and in its final position before the engineer visits.

4.Please check that there is a suitable power socket within 1 metre of the machine and that the unit is plugged in and powered up ready for the engineers visit.

5.If you are connecting your existing alarm system to the remote contacts provided check that the circulating voltage is no more than 30 volts. This connection is not included in the commissioning price, however, our engineer may be able to do this for you. Please discuss this with our Service Department when booking.

When on site our engineer will carry out the following for maximum compliance and to familiarise you completely with the blood banks functionality.

Check all packaging is removed
Check general condition of cabinet
Connect up the alarm and check it works
Fit pen, battery and chart paper to recorder and check calibration
Check operation of digital lock (if fitted)
Check door switch operation
Check operation of internal light
Test alarm panel function
Test high alarm
Test low alarm
Check dual cycling is on automatic (if applicable)
Show customer how to change between systems (if applicable)
Show customer operation of keypad (if fitted)
Show customer how to fit new pen, chart paper and battery
Demonstrate how to use the new MHRA compliant touch screen
Answer any questions you may have about operation and compliance
